His Eminence NESTOR (Sirotenko) – Metropolitan of Chersonese and Western Europe, Patriarchal Exarch in Western Europe

Bishop Nestor was born on September 4, 1974 in Moscow, Russia.
After school from 1991 to 1995 he studied at the Institute of History and Archives (currently the Russian State University of Humanities).
He arrived in France in 1999 to continue his training at the Saint-Serge Orthodox Theological Institute.
For several years, the future bishop was rector of the Orthodox parish of Asnières (Exarchate of the Russian parishes of Western Europe of the Patriarchate of Constantinople).
In 2004, he returned to the Patriarchate of Moscow, becoming a member of the clergy of the diocese of Chersonese.
From 2008 he was dean of the parishes of the diocese of Chersonèse in France and rector of the church of Trois-Saints-Docteurs in Paris. he also teaches pastoral theology at the Russian Orthodox Seminary in Épinay-sous-Sénart.
Bishop Nestor was appointed bishop of Caphes, auxiliary of the diocese of Chersonese, on May 31, 2010 by the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church. His episcopal ordination was celebrated at Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow on September 5, 2010, in memory of Saint Irenaeus of Lyon.
On December 24, 2010, the Holy Synod appointed Monsignor Nestor as Ordinary of the Diocese of Chersonese.
By the decision of the Holy Synod of December 28, 2018 (diary № 105) Bishop Nestor appointed Bishop of Madrid and Lisbon.
On January 3, 2019 Monsignor Nestor was elevated to the dignity of Archbishop by His Holiness Cyril, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia. 
By the decision of the Holy Synod of June 7, 2022 (diary № 61) Bishop Nestor is appointed temporary administrator of the Diocese of Chersonese.
By the decision of the Holy Synod of October 13, 2022 (diary № 96), His Eminence Nestor, Archbishop of Madrid and Lisbon, is appointed Titular Archbishop of the Diocese of Chersonese and Head of the Patriarchal Exarchate in Western Europe with the title “ of Chersonese and Western Europe”.
On November 27, 2022, Archbishop Nestor was elevated to the dignity of Metropolitan by His Holiness Cyril, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia.
